Renewing the heart of the city

With a new innovative vision

A new level of urban development, an innovative vision for the heart of Iași City.
This is the promise we make through our partnership with Foster+Partners, a world leading architecture firm, setting the sustainable direction for the continued evolution of Palas Iași.
Foster+Partners has garnered international acclaim for iconic projects, such as the Apple headquarters in California, the famous office building dubbed ‘The Gherkin’ in London, or The Great Court of the British Museum in London, and their exceptional team of architects is committed to redefining the central area of Iași.
Recognized as a touchstone for urban regeneration mixed-use projects in Romania, Palas is reinventing itself through a brand new architectural concept centering people, nature, and interactivity.
We CONTINUE the story of the same project with:
  • more green features, including inside the shopping center

  • remodeled spaces

  • more areas for relaxation

  • more natural lighting in the central Atrium

  • an optimized interplay with the Palace of Culture

Opening Palas toward

the Palace of Culture

With a visionary architectural concept

Exploring the interplay between history, nature, and the community, Palas Iași has provided the backdrop for setting world records, creating millions of memories, accommodating impressive events, and marking important moments in the lives of thousands of people.
We CONTINUE to do all of these things, but in a remodeled complex, creating new spaces and optimizing the existing ones.
We are flooding the interior with natural lighting and creating a spectacular perspective toward the Palace of Culture through glass façades, further showcasing the iconic building of Iași.

Remodeling Palas Garden

Focusing on outdoor activities

Palas has a green heart that has completely captivated the people of Iași with its landscaping and the natural setting that invites visitors to rest upon the grass or take a breather from the urban hustle and bustle.
The garden landscape will be redefined to build a stronger connection between nature and the people. The remodeling works will allow for:
  • increasing the green space

  • creating new promenade trails

  • cascading water features

  • areas for outdoor activities

We CONTINUE to provide more nature in the heart of the city, in the form of an interactive space that is open to the community, in a mix of invigorating landscaping, a refuge of relaxation, and an outdoor entertainment area.

Remodeling the esplanade

of Luceafărul Theater

As an interactive space

The frontal esplanade of the “Luceafărul” Theater for Children and Young People will become a public agora, creating an urban axis between landmark buildings of the city.
We are transforming this space into:
  • a green oasis

  • areas for relaxation

  • welcoming terraces

  • an outdoor amphitheater

  • venues specially designed for families

A concept that prioritizes diversity and interactivity, as in the case of public squares that become meeting places.
This is our way to CONTINUE providing the city and Iași residents with living public spaces that are animated by events and nature, in harmony with the defining symbols of our city.

Enhancing the shopping experience

With new brands and entertainment concepts

Palas is the best-performing retail project outside the Capital city, both in terms of footfall and financial results
The complex accommodates national and international fashion brands, fine dining concepts, the widest variety of cuisines, all the services you need, dedicated areas for health & beauty, sports, jewelry, and entertainment concepts.
We do not settle for ‘just good enough’ and instead we CONTINUE to take the shopping experience to the next level. We are optimizing the space and developing new areas to make room for:
  • new brands

  • remodeling the current locations

  • bringing in new playground areas

  • entertainment and edutainment concepts for various ages

At the same time, we are developing new venues for indoor and outdoor events, so that we will be able to accommodate even more major, diverse, and novel events.

Recreating the

events center

In a new and modern location

The Congress Hall events center, the Palas Garden, and the Palace of Culture tie together the perfect backdrop for a truly unique event, whether it be a conference, a special family event, a party with your colleagues, or a congress.
The facilities, the central location, and the organizing team take care of everything, so that all you have to do is enjoy the wonderful moments. Millions of such moments have already been enjoyed.
To CONTINUE writing stories at a new level, Congress Hall will be relocated and redesigned to provide a modern location and an even more spectacular view toward the Palace of Culture.

Rediscovering

the history of Iași

With properly showcased artifacts

We CONTINUE to develop the city center, combining the contemporary design with the homage to the history of Iași City.
Besides the enhanced showcasing of the Palace of Culture, an element of cultural and historical identity, we will also make artifacts of the past accessible to the public.
We are fitting out an area dedicated to the archeological findings from back in the 1960s, representing interior walls from the eastern wing of the Princely Court. They were brought back to light upon the development of Palas, and will now be integrated in the tourist circuit of the city.
We CONTINUE to showcase the discoveries that speak about the identity and history of Iași City, as these efforts were initiated and developed as early as the construction of Palas Complex.
